Thu, 25 May 2006 visit with the Cal Poly Robotics Club ... We had a nice visit this week with members of the Cal Poly Robotics Club. This is a very active group, as can be seen by their website at http://ieee.ee.calpoly.edu/robotics/wiki/doku.php, and there almost 20 of their members and friends in attendance. We talked about the evolution of the SRV-1 robot, current functionality, some of our plans for future development, and some detail of the sensors and the firmware code structure.
We also gave the club first "dibs" on spare parts left over from our transition to the new tracked version of the SRV-1, and suspect they will be able to come up with a plan to use the original robot base for some club fundraising projects.
