The version Lantronix built for us was specific to Matchport.  I suspect they will eventually roll the high bitrate feature into their standard product, but I don't know their specific product plans.

In the process of tracking down problems with the Lisp interpreter I've been building into firmware, I found that one of the causes was the version of Blackfin toolchain I had been using on Linux - 2006R2_RC6.  The latest Linux toolchain - 2008R1_RC8 - resolves the issue.  Here are the links for the 4 required pieces. They should be extracted as root in /, as the archives include the full /opt/uClinux path -

I believe the Windows toolchain may be based on the same release  - in any case, that version hasn't caused me any problems.

I would like to report no issues so far with my robot and the new firmware..

Range seems to be better and before I would drop out a lot switching between AP, now its fairly seemless.

There was a post a while back about the MatchPort Pro supporting AP Roaming, has anyone used this?

I've noted similar results with AP switching.  What's interesting is that the high-speed firmware (6500GE) is actually based on an earlier codebase, but the performance is better than the latest official firmware releases.

Exactly my results... The original firmware I recieved would drop for approx 20 seconds between AP's, pre 2.5mb firmware update made this better, but still took 10 seconds to reconnect and start up traffic.. Now I am seeing 2-4 seconds to reconnect...

With a stateless UDP connection this would be very seamless.. Wink

We *really* need a UDP version of the Java or Python console.  I'd bet that we end up with at least a 50% boost in frame rate.
