Recently i reported that i was losing frames when using my srv-1 robot which i thought was caused by interference or similiar..
After alot of testing i have discovered that it was not the hardware.. but the software.. My University lecturer had a copy of the old Surveyor console that was released when this robot was out (the robot before blackfin) and when we tested that.. it was pretty much perfect in comparison.
I then tried using the old consoles COM connection class files with the new srv-1 console .. and lo and behold it worked perfectly!
I then changed it back to the new 1 just to confirm and it was again losing lots of frames...
So i thought you guys may want to know that your new connection software doesn't fully support old robots
