Hi all
  I have an old school [ARM] surveyor which I use quite happily under MacOS 10 and the Python console.  I am trying to get it running under Ubuntu 8.04 and am not having much success on two different machines.
 
I have python 2.5 and have installed pySerial.  I have tried both pySRV console versions 0228 and 1209 with the same effect.  The server seems to start up OK, I can navigate to localhost:8888 and to view.html, there are no obvious errors in the output of the server but no image is ever rendered and no commands (ie "forward") seem to work.  I've tried accessing the server from a different machines' (Mac and Windoze) browsers in case it was a browser issue but it seems to be related to running the server on Linux.
 
Anyone have any ideas or pointers to debugging this?
