connecting NavBoard to pins (Read 1348 times)

connecting NavBoard to pins

To connect the Navboard to the SRV I have the following setup:
 
 
Navboard---------------------->SRV
GND       ---------------------->Pin 1
3.3V       ---------------------->Pin 2
SCL        ---------------------->Pin 14
SDA       ---------------------->Pin 15
 
Where do I plug in the pins:
 
Navboard---------------------->SRV
SP          ----------------------> ?
TP          ----------------------> ?
RX         ----------------------> Pin6?
TX         ----------------------> Pin5?
 
I cannot find the documentation on this. I don't want to hook it up wrong.

There are two links at the bottom of the NAV Board product page. If the information you are looking for is not in these you will need to contact the board mfg.

To answer my own question, Where do I plug in the pins:  
 
Navboard---------------------->SRV  
SP          ----------------------> N/A
TP          ----------------------> N/A
RX         ----------------------> Pin 6  
TX         ----------------------> Pin 5
 
The RX and TX pins communicate the GPS information.  
 
Anyone know what SP and TP would be used for normally?

Hello,
 
The SP pin goes to Port 2.6 pin on the ARM.  It is a spare pin for stand alone use and doesn't do anything for the SRV.
 
The TP pin is the 1 Pulse Per Second (1 PPS) output pulse from the GPS unit.  When it has a lock, this gives a precision pulse so you can sync an external processor or really get accurate w/r/t the data valid out of the unit.  
 
It isn't supported by any SRV code either.
