 What advanced business applications are supported?

    You will need advanced skills to use Webcam32 for proxy firewalls, dynamic IP networks, and multiple cameras. In addition, some firewalls do not allow streaming video, and some networks block their ftp ports. Check with your network administrator before purchasing Webcam32 as a business solution.

    Operating System Requirements:

    • 32 Mb RAM or more (recommended)
    • 486 CPU or higher

    Hardware Requirements:

    • Camera compatible with Video for Windows or WDM Capture
    • Microphone on camera (optional)
    • Camera with USB connection (rather than serial connection) recommended for faster streaming video

    Connection Requirements:

    • Broadband recommended for live streaming video (DSL, cable modem, or T1)
    • Dial-up modem acceptable for ftp upload or slow streaming video

 What cameras do you recommend?

    All cameras and capture devices which use Video for Windows should be compatible. Surveyor does not keep a list of compatible devices and does not recommend any camera hardware.
