Previous versions of Webcam32 supported the Kodak DC200 and DC210 digital cameras
as input sources, though these cameras are no longer actively supported. If you encounter problems
connecting Webcam32 to Kodak cameras,
hopefully the notes on these pages will provide some direction.
The Kodak DC200 and DC210 cameras allow connection to a PC via a serial cable. Through this connection the PC can not only download images taken previously but can also instruct the camera to take new pictures. Webcam32 is able to drive the camera, snap a picture, download that picture and then upload the new picture to your Web site just as though you were using some other Video for Windows based capture device. While capturing an image, Webcam32 will display the download progress as the image is downloaded from the camera and will also show a thumbnail of the actual image snapped.
Because of the drain on batteries while the camera is connected to the PC, it is strongly suggested that an external camera power supply be used. This can be ordered from the Kodak Accessories page.
