WebCamSat

The WebCamSat is a set up wizard which allows you to configure your entry in the WebCamSat Network and set up free streaming video hosting on www.webcamsat.net. It is not provided in most versions of Webcam32, and is still under development. Usage should be limited to advanced Webcam32 users. The wizard takes you through a step-by-step setup of your Webcamsat account.

Personal Information

Information used by WebCamSat to resognize its members. The WebCamSat is a set up wizard which allows you to configure Personal Information, name, set up e-mail addresses, and specify a password. Name - Allows you to enter your name to be identified as the user E-mail Addresses - Optional e-mail address to be contacted for updates and other information Password - Allows you to enter a password for your entry in the Webcam satalite network. It needs to be entered twice for verification.

Camera Information

Information specific to the camera to be viewed on WebCamSat.

Name - Allows you to enter a camera name and nick name for the video feed. Nick Name should be a short identifier for the camera. No spaces are allowed in the nick name. Description - Both a description and key words can be entered for the WebCamSat search engine

Category Selection

Displays a list of the currently available categories on WebCamSat. Chose the one category that best suites your camera. This will help place your camera in the webcamsat database.

Site Selection

Lists available public sites and allows the user to add a feed to private sites as well. Note: the private sites are not available at this time.

Public - Select a site you would like to join from the list provided. This will be your camera's home on webcamsat. Private - If you own a private site or have a private site's password, enter the site name and you will be prompted for the password.

When finished, Webcam32 will connect to Webcamsat to send the configuration inforrmation. It will also begin streaming to your free Webcamsat page.

Connection

Connect, disconnect, or update your settings. Connect/Disconnect - connect or disconnect from the WebCamSat database Update - Run through the set up wizard to change settings and update information in the WebCamSat database. Connect at Startup - enable or disable WebCamSat connection at Webcam32 program start up. Update Rate - change the rate at which the image is refreshed.
